About us
Relocate Patagonia connects local rent-a-car and camper companies with travelers looking to get around Patagonia — low-cost relocations, direct rentals, drivers, and camping spots, all in one place.
We're not a rental company: every vehicle, driver, and camping spot you see here is published and operated directly by the company shown on the listing. We just connect them with the people looking for them.
We were born as part of Ruta Logística, the same company behind RutaLedger, the software several of these companies use to manage their fleet day to day.
What is a relocation?
When someone rents a vehicle one-way (picking it up in one city and dropping it off in another), the company needs to get it back to its original city to keep renting it out from there. The traditional way is paying a truck to haul it back, a real cost that can be avoided. A relocation offers that same route to another traveler at a symbolic price, in exchange for driving the vehicle to its destination within the given dates. The company saves the truck, and the traveler saves almost the entire rental cost. That's why relocations can cost so little: without this arrangement, that price wouldn't exist.
What are Pro Drivers for?
Pro Drivers are professional drivers available to drive for you, in your own vehicle or a rented one, for all or part of your trip. It makes sense if you'd rather not drive on gravel roads or conditions you're not familiar with, if you're traveling with kids or older adults, or simply if you'd rather enjoy the scenery instead of being behind the wheel. Each driver sets their own rate, usual route, and the languages they speak.
What is Camping Spot?
Camping Spot gathers real camping sites along the most common routes in Patagonia, listed directly by whoever runs them. It helps you plan where to stop for the night on your trip, with the price per night and the services each place offers: water, campfire, electricity, showers.
The listed price is the base rate for the night. Some camping sites charge separately for extra services (firewood, hot showers, electricity, extra people), depending on what each one decides. Confirm the full details directly with the camping site before you arrive.
How it works
- Companies publish their available vehicles, drivers, or camping spots.
- Travelers find them here and contact the company directly (WhatsApp or a form).
- The rental, payment, and deposit are arranged directly between the traveler and the company.
